Easter, Easter!

Easter came and went. The kids had a blast. We started the morning with the kids going through their Easter baskets. But before that, Jonathan surprised me and drew a bunch of Happy Easter pictures and taped them all over the dining room... very festive, except for the one where the Easter bunny left something other than candy in the grass for someone to find... oh the mind of an 8 year old boy. He also made a card for each member of the family. Mine is so classic I have to scan it in and add it to this post. He did not mean to be harsh but it gave us a good laugh. He was so thoughtful that day.

After all that and the kids eating a good share of candy, we had our annual egg/scripture hunt which this year Jonathan decided to help Leia find eggs instead of getting them for himself. When all the eggs were gathered we sat down and began opening them one by one and reading a scripture about Jesus Christ. That was the best part of the day for me. Then kids were fed, cleaned up and Ryan went off with two of them while I stayed behind with Leia. I really felt out of sorts that day, emotionally and physically.

Shortly after church Ryan took the kids to a get together at our Bishop's house where they had a blast at the egg hunt. Ryan said they have an amazing back yard and he actually was able to spend some one on one time with Leia hunting for eggs. Shortly after the hunt it rained, I mean poured but the day still was awesome.
The hunt has begun.
